At eye level with Marilyn Monroe: the new Sheraprint 50 3D printer

What do Marilyn Monroe and the new Sheraprint 50 3D printer have in common? 166 centimetres in size. While the film star shone in the spotlight, Sheraprint 50 shines with a long-lasting LED and a lot of print power. The DLP printer is designed for professional use in dental technology, for example when it comes to mass production of models. It works quickly and precisely with an accuracy of 30 micrometres. The resolution of the projector is big cinema and corresponds to 4K or 3840 by 2160 pixels. To ensure that the printer remains permanently precise, it is regularly calibrated (Certified Auto-Calibration). A heated interior ensures consistent printing processes - regardless of fluctuating room temperatures in the lab environment, for example at night or on weekends.

Print large quantities even overnight

While film stars need their beauty sleep, Sheraprint 50 continues to print at night. The material tray is automatically filled with the required printing resin. Via an RFID chip on the resin bottles, the printer also recognises that the correct printing material is in use.

New peel function

Sheraprint 50 includes the patented Automatic Separation Module (ASM): this automatically peels finished print objects off the build platform. They then fall into a storage basket where they are protected until they are processed further.

XXL building platform

The heart of Sheraprint 50 is the printer's large build area. The area of the build platform is 231 by 130 millimetres. Up to ten aligner models, for example, can be printed flat on it at the same time. The printing time depends on the height of the printed objects, not on their number.

Fully fast with force feedback technology

Sheraprint printers are also equipped with the patented Force Feedback Technology (FFT). For each layer to be polymerised, the printer's software calculates the tensile force with which the build platform must be actuated and signals as soon as the print object has detached itself from the bottom of the tray. The next print layer is then initiated immediately without wasting any "waiting time". In this way, the system always achieves the fastest possible processing and a very precise print. Other printers usually work with constant forces. This makes these printers slower. In Sheraprint, on the other hand, solid and thin areas with different peel-off forces are taken into account.

Little space required - huge performance

The footprint of the printer is 60 by 57 centimetres. So mass production of models takes up about as much space as half a shower towel. Operation is intuitive via a 10-inch touch screen. All Sheraprint printers are LAN/WLAN-capable, but can also be loaded via USB.

Super support in addition

Sheraprint is not just about the Rapidshape-based printer itself, but always also about the support from the Sheradigital team. Experience shows how important a coordinated, validated process is in 3D printing. The Sheradigital team has determined optimal printing parameters and coordinated printing plastics. Support includes valuable tips on printing strategy, post-processing and the sensible integration of 3D printing into the dental workflow. Printing specialists with training in dental technology are available to answer questions directly. When the printers are set up, a one-day introduction is given so that handling, process safety and reliable printing results can be practised in the laboratory.
