Excellent family-friendly – Shera Material Technology makes its debut in the Diepholz district

Ausgezeichnet familienfreundlich – Shera Werkstoff-Technologie macht den Anfang im Landkreis Diepholz
If childcare is tight because appointments cannot be postponed, then the youngest of our employees are allowed to come to Shera. This includes 10-year-old Summer, who then likes to visit our dental technician colleague Kerstin Koksch and do crafts with Shera products.
Family business and family-friendly - that goes very well together. We are all the more pleased about the "Excellent Family-Friendly" seal, which we recently received as the first in the Diepholz district. The certification was carried out following an evaluation process by the Rationalization and Innovation Center of the German Economy (RKW) in Bremen.

Topics such as the compatibility of family and work, working time regulations, physical and mental health and information offerings were among those put to the test. Shera offers working time accounts, a wide range of part-time offers, sabbaticals and home office. If children need to be looked after or relatives to be cared for, the company finds unbureaucratic solutions and helps to "get everything under one roof". For a year now, an external consultant for psychosocial issues has been available to employees and their immediate relatives. Shera also supports the health of its employees with company fitness, job bike leasing and active breaks.

We received 36 out of 36 possible points for certification straight away. A really good result, but the process must continue. A total of 18 milestones have been defined, which will be tackled in the next few months.
We don't just want to make ourselves more attractive as an employer with the seal. If everyone in our team can work in a relaxed manner, we are all happier and more productive." To achieve this, it is not just the business conditions that are important. Anyone who is temporarily absent from work in the company must be able to rely not only on the understanding of their superiors, but also on the team. Colleagues must then support each other, step in and stick together like a family. Jens Grill emphasizes: "For us at Shera, being excellently family-friendly does not just mean a seal. It is an expression of the fact that family-friendliness as part of the company culture concerns everyone."
