SHERAUNDER PRESSURE is compatible with all
Investment material for pressed ceramics also tested for 3D printed objects
When dental technician Edda Rohrsdorfer gets her teeth into something, she doesn't let go. That was also the case with the investment material for pressed ceramics SHERAUNDER-PRESSURE. She wanted to know whether this investment material works with all commercially available components for pressed ceramics, especially with the new printed copings and other objects made of 3D-printed plastic. Edda is an application engineer at SHERA and has put her heart and a lot of time into this development and tested the SHERA material for months. In all possible variants: SHERAUNDER-PRESSURE with all the muffle systems that exist. SHERAUNDER PRESSURE in combination with all common ceramics. And then again criss-cross with printed or wax-modeled objects. Sounds like a lot of work, and it was.
The result is that SHERAUNDER PRESSURE is something like everybody's darling with Herculean muscles among the investment materials for pressed ceramics. Especially under pressure, the investment material remains super friendly to everyone involved on the way to perfect pressed ceramic restorations. SHERAUNDER PRESSURE is compatible with the entire range of starting materials, for example with copings modeled or milled from wax, but also with all variants of printed copings made of plastic.
In the tests, SHERAUNDER PRESSURE had to prove itself in the muffle formers from IVOCLAR, YETI, DEKEMA and many more. SHERAUNDER PRESSURE also withstands the pressing of up to 3 different shades in one operation and remains stable. Of course, we do not have ALL of the furnaces available on the market in our laboratory, but we asked our user customers for their feedback. We were delighted that users in the wild were also able to enjoy dimensionally accurate results with smooth surfaces for crowns, veneers, onlays and inlays or press on.
After pressing, it takes about 10 minutes for the mass to be completely blasted off, even though it is so hard. Tip: start with bright steel beads at 110 My and then finish with 50 My at 2 bar each, gently but quickly removing the rest. This pressure is enough to carefully expose the pressed object without endangering the ceramic surface or thin edge areas.
Since nobody wants to have 1000 different mixing liquids lying around in the lab, we have matched SHERAUNDER-PRESSURE to our liquid according to the motto “One for all”.
Like all SHERA investment materials, this one can also be adjusted using the SHERALIQUID. No additional storage space is required for additional mixing liquid. If the work is to be larger or smaller, the material can be precisely and finely controlled using the mixing ratio.
Thanks to its pure crystal structure, SHERAUNDER-PRESSURE is color-neutral compared to the ceramic and is equally suitable for lithium disilicate and leucite ceramic. We think it is brilliantly made. Technicians can invest with SHERAUNDER-PRESSURE in a relaxed manner: With a processing time of five minutes, the investment material flows evenly into the muffle right down to the last residue and encloses even the smallest details of the objects very homogeneously.
The 3D-printed crowns, bridges, onlays and inlays made of printed plastic, which the SHERA dental technician had put through their paces, also produced a perfect fit. A sight that not only makes Edda very satisfied and happy.
