SHERAiso-3d for efficient separation of plastic against plastic

With the arrival of the printed plastic model in the laboratories, the demand for insulating agents for 3D printed plastics increased. The problem: Common insulating agents for the separation of plaster model to denture or orthodontic plastic do not work with printed models. The connection would ruin the dental work. A solution had to be found for this problem. We therefore developed the SHERAiso-3d isolating agent, which meets the requirements of the 3D printing workflow for model isolation.

SHERAiso-3d model

What is special about SHERAiso-3d?

The blue-coloured insulating layer requires only one brush stroke and reliably separates the printed model from, for example, car and cold polymers. SHERAiso-3d forms a fine barrier layer that prevents the different resins from bonding: between 3D printing resin and all conventional dental resins of the orthodontic technique up to prosthetics. At the same time, wax areas can also be isolated on the model in one go, for example in the case of blocked-out tooth and jaw undercuts.

The blue colour makes the liquid easy to see and makes the isolated areas on the model clearly visible. It dries within ten minutes and is thus twice as fast as comparable products. Since SHERAiso-3d only requires a thin layer to be applied once, it is also more economical than conventional insulating agents.

Occlusive spray ink residues on the 3d-printed model are a thing of the past if the model is brushed with Sheraiso-3d beforehand. After processing, the insulating agent can be wiped off with water or evaporated.

SHERAiso-3d is filled in 100 gram bottles. We recommend applying the insulating agent with a full-surface red marten brush in at least size 6. Both products can be ordered in the online store at www.shera.de or through SHERA's nationwide field service.
