After training hundreds of technicians worldwide on the subject of alveolar models, I followed the development of printed models with distance and a great deal of caution. I was allowed to try out several systems and models, but unfortunately the results were not satisfactory for me and my skepticism grew. Until the moment I had my first SHERA models on my desk. I would like to make a short statement here about my experiences with my first patient work on the models printed by SHERA: The first impression was convincing, not only because of the white color. The accuracy of fit of the dies in the alveolus of the model, the accuracy of the two jaws to each other, everything was consistent and had the desired, accurate fit. At last, someone has understood the concept of the alveolar model per se and has been able to implement it digitally. There is no wobbling of the dies or that they are too deep or too high in the alveoli. Everything can be controlled by the anti-rotation groove. Alternatively, you can also produce the pink gum mask, which is also well thought out and has many advantages, such as the realistic shade, which has a stability that can be easily worked with abrasives without it smearing or being pushed away and which remains dimensionally stable even after repeated vaporization. When I heard that this model system can also be used for implant work, i.e. for model analogs, I was thrilled. Dear SHERA team - keep up the good work and many thanks for your professionalism!
